Okay, so you're looking at purchasing a new hydraulic jack plate for your outboard engine but you're not sure what size setback you need and might not know what works best until you actually try the unit out on the water and find out what you purchased is not what you need? Vance Manufacturing has you covered, we have developed a new style of hydraulic jack plate that allows you to change the setback in about 5 minutes without having to send the unit you originally purchased back or simply have to buy a new one and keep the one you have. Our patent pending system allows for the angles attaching the hydraulic system and transom together to be unbolted and removed and exchanged with new angles that we have available and sell directly to you! If you decide to get a larger engine in the future and only have the 6 inch setback angles, no problem Vance Manufacturing has you covered and you can purchase the 8 inch angles and swap them out with the ones you currently have without having to purchase an entire new hydraulic jack plate!

If your holes do not match this configuration, you can drill into the aluminum plate. However, by modifying the unit returns will not be accepted.

- Jack Plates are the perfect solution for long shaft engines with a short shaft transom!
Here are the pre-drilled hole dimensions listed below in inches:
- Pre-drilled holes for 1/2'' stainless hardware
- 12 7/8'' across the top two holes from center to center
- 9 7/8'' across the bottom two holes from center to center
- 8'' of vertical distance between the top holes and bottom mounting holes

I installed the hydraulic jack plate on my flats boat w a 60 hp Mercury. Easy to install and works very good. I can now motor in water the boat will float in—thanks
